Virginia Tech registered student organizations, colleges, and departments may request permission to place table cards in Dining Services managed dining centers. Commercial advertising is not permitted.

  • Table cards may be reserved for a one-week period which begins on Monday and ends Sunday evening.

    Make your reservations early - prime weeks fill up fast!

  • Use the convenient online reservation form to reserve your week and location.

  • Table cards may be reserved for one week for for the following dining center groups: D2 and Hokie Grill & Co. or Shultz Dining Center and Owens Food Court or West End Market or Squires Food Court and Deet's Place.

  • Reservations may be made for no more than five organizations per location or set of locations. A total of 20 organizations will be able to post table cards in the dining centers each week!

  • Reservations are restricted to one table card in each dining center group during a four-week period. Multiple events may be advertised on one card.

  • Reservations will be canceled if the approval process is not followed or if groups make multiple reservations for the same week.
 
 
Develop a draft of your table card.Expand
 
  • Table cards must be 4.25" by 5.5" (no other sizes will be approved).

  • Table cards are single cards - table tents will not be approved.
 
 
Obtain an approval form for your table card draft.Expand
 
  • A table card proof must be submitted online for approval by 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the reserved Monday distribution date. If a proof is not submitted by Thursday at 5:00 p.m. the reservation space may be forfeited to a student organization, college, or department from the waiting list.

  • Drafts must be exactly what will be printed to receive approval.

  • Upload your table card proof to your reservation for approval.
    To upload your proof, log-in to the table card reservation system, find the correct reservation and use the browse and upload buttons to upload your card. Your card proof will need to be less than 3 mb in size and either a .doc, .docx, .jpg, or .jpeg file.
 
 
Have your table cards printed.Expand
 
  • Student Programs does not print your table cards for you. You can have them printed at any campus or local copy center.

  • Table cards may be printed on one side or both sides.

  • Table cards must be printed on a minimum of 65 lb. cardstock.

Distribute table cards.Expand
 
  • Take cards to dining centers to be distributed.

  • Bring your approval form with you. You will need to show the approval form to the dining center manager prior to distributing the cards. You are responsible for distributing your table cards in the holders on the tables. Table cards must be placed in the holders.

  • Recommended hours for distributing table cards: Mondays between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. or between 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. (Owens Food Court, Hokie Grill, and West End Market open at 10:30 a.m.)

  • Please do not distribute table cards during main meal periods or busy times as this is inconsiderate to our customers.

  • Table cards will be removed on Sunday evenings by dining center personnel.

  • Organizations that distribute table cards without approval will not be permitted to post table cards for the remainder of the semester.
