Giving to the Division of Student Affairs at Virginia Tech is an opportunity for you to invest in our students and their futures as successful, productive citizens. You can shape their educational experiences and help us provide the optimal conditions in which learning and growth can take place.

The following are just a few of the opportunities to support the Division of Student Affairs:

Scholarships

  • Virginia Tech Rescue Squad — a need-based scholarship for a student who is serving as a volunteer with the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad

  • Scholarship for Disabled Student — to provide financial assistance to a student who is faced with the challenges of overcoming a disability

  • Black Cultural Center Alumni Board Scholarship — to emphasize the importance of inclusion and to honor the diversity at Virginia Tech

Multicultural Initiatives

  • Multicultural Leadership Program — to cultivate multicultural, global citizens through a leadership certificate program that involves experiential learning

  • Multiculturalism course — to create a credit course on Hispanic-Latino culture

  • National Pan-Hellenic Council Plot Project — develop a “plot” area honoring the diversity represented on campus by African-American fraternities and sororities

  • United Council of Fraternities and Sororities Memorial Garden — develop memorial gardens to provide a physical representation and congregating place for members of the multi-cultural Greek-letter organizations

Student Affairs Programs

  • Leadership Tech — to engage Virginia Tech students in educational programs intentionally designed to develop ethical, globally-conscious citizens and leaders

  • Freshman Interest Groups — an extensive project aimed at providing first-year students a head start on social and academic success through living and learning experiences with peers

  • Residence Hall Programming and Social Activities — to develop social activities and educational programs for students living in residence halls
