Will the Schiffert Health Center take my insurance?
The Schiffert Health Center (SHC) and the Cook Counseling Center (CCC) are funded by a mandatory health fee, which covers many services. The amount of the current health fee and other student fees can be found by visiting the University Bursar’s website located at www.bursar.vt.edu/tuition/. Neither SHC nor CCC accept insurance cards or bill insurance. Discounted costs for x-rays, labs, orthopedic supplies, some medications, and allergy shots are billed directly to the student through the Bursar's Office. For additional information, please visit www.healthcenter.vt.edu/charges.htm.
