Backpack to Briefcase: Transitioning to Your Job
This session demonstrates the differences between college and the world of work. It provides tips on business etiquette, including electronic etiquette; teaches proper business protocol for introductions, including handshakes and remembering names; and addresses issues related to image, including dress and written and verbal communication.

Career Services: Explore, Experience, Achieve
Career Services offers a full range of services and resources for all students, regardless of major or degree level. Our key service areas are: deciding on a major/career, obtaining career-related experience, connecting with employers, preparing your job search, and applying/preparing for graduate school. We have a number of services and resources to assist students in these key areas, and we welcome the opportunity to share these with students, faculty, and staff.

Networking
The concept of networking is not new, but many people are unsure how to use it when looking for a job. Often job seekers will say that they do not have a network to use in relationship to their job search. This is not true—everyone has a network. The key is developing and utilizing this network.
