Kate Barbour
Associate Director of Administration
Kate Barbour is the associate director of administration for student affairs, with administrative responsibilities for fiscal and personnel functions for the division and the vice president’s office. Before joining the Division of Student Affairs in 2008, Ms. Barbour served as the capital budget manager in the department of Capital Assets and Financial Management and as an accounting manager at the Virginia Tech Foundation. Prior to relocating to Virginia, Ms. Barbour was employed in the Florida Community College system for 11 years, where she held the positions of accounting manager and controller. Ms. Barbour is a native of Florida and holds a master's degree in accounting from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor’s degree of business administration from the University of Miami.
